Corporate IT departments are increasingly cracking down on “time waster” sites at the office. These sites include many of the social media sites like Facebook and MySpace, and recently Craigslist has come onto the IT radar. It can be very frustrating to see that you missed out on a great deal on an item that was posted while you were at the office.
The good news is that CLGenie has a solution. Any new posts that are mailed to you can be viewed in your browser even if Craigslist is blocked by your IT department.

Today a post came across from my search for arcade games for a free Hollywood Heat pinball machine. I saw the email come through on my phone, and was the first one to contact the seller only 12 minutes after he listed it.

Since Criagslist is by far the most popular classifieds site, it’s also a favorite of scammers and email harvesters. Craigslist provides a nice service to posters to pretect their email address by providing a temporary anonymized email address.
That’s great if you are posting an ad, but what about the people who are responding to those ads? If you are using CLGenie, you no longer need to worry. When you click on the email address to respond, CLGenie will provide you the option to send a response using a temporary anonymous email address. When the poster responds, we will forward the message to you.
